Rental Terms & Conditions

Driver's Required Qualification

Vehicles can be rented by the drivers who are aged at least 21 years old and have at least one year of driving experience.
In order to rent a car the renter must present a valid driving license, a passport and a credit card. Information on international driving license: It is required that that driver's license should be printed in the English language. An international driving license is recommended for all drivers. For those clients who are citizens of the USA, Australia, and Canada, an international driver's license is required to drive in Armenia.

Authorized drivers of the vehicle

As per the Rental Agreement, only the Renter is authorized to drive Alamo Rent-A-Car vehicle. Other drivers can be registered as additional drivers.  Additional drivers should present a valid driving license and passport. Additional fee applies according to the price list.
The Renter acknowledges and confirms that he/she will not permit anyone to drive the Vehicle:
A) who is not authorized by the Alamo staff and is not registered in the Rental Agreement as an additional driver
A) who does not meet the minimum requirements of Alamo and official state law regarding driver’s age, validity of driving license and/or any other minimum requirements;
B) Who is under alcoholic influence, narcotic or any other stuff affective consciousness or ability to react, or who is exhausted.
In case of breach of this clause the Renter remains responsible for the whole damage and its circumstances.

Responsibility for property

Alamo Rent-A-Car takes no responsibility for the items or belongings left or forgotten in the rented vehicle. Renter should check the inside of the vehicle carefully before returning or at the moment of return.

Accidents, Theft, Vandalism and Damages

A) The Renter must immediately inform about road accident, scratches, crash, theft of the Vehicle or any stolen parts and/or any other incident the Vehicle is involved.
B) Without Alamo Rent-A-Car permission and the police presence the Renter must not accept any liability or release the other part of the accident on his sole decision. The Renter must immediately report the company, police and the insurance company about the accident and follow the further instructions. If the Renter does not follow these instructions, then he/she remains fully responsible for the damage and the circumstances. Alamo Rent-A-Car team is always there to assist.
C) If an accident happens or in case of theft and/or vandalism, the Renter must immediately report the police and the company and at police presence fill all the necessary documentation. Upon returning the rental vehicle the Renter must provide the copy of the protocol filled at the moment of the accident. If the police protocol misses, then the Renter remains fully responsible for the damage. 
D) The Renter must keep the Vehicle keys, official documents, remote control and anti – theft system safely. If the vehicle is stolen, the Renter will be required to return all these belongings to Alamo Rent-A-Car representatives.
E) The Renter must closely cooperate with Alamo, Police and with the insurance agency to help in the investigation of the traffic accident/loss/vandalism.  
If the Renter ignores this clause and does not fulfil the requirements, he/she will remain fully responsible both financially and legally.
F) In case of some obstacles such as darkness, weather conditions, time and/or place of the Vehicle return, vehicle uncleanness and it makes impossible for Alamo representative to define the loss of Vehicle parts and/or damages, then Alamo has the right within 48 hours to charge for loss or damage if such is discovered.

Parking fees and Traffic Tickets

A) By putting the signature on the Rental Agreement the Renter confirms that he/she takes the full responsibility for all traffic and parking fines occurred during the rental agreement and any other breach of law and its consequences.
B) At any time Renters may request Alamo to provide him/her with a copy of the rental agreement, police ticket, and the receipt that those have been paid off.

Personal Data

When the signature on the Rental Agreement, the Renter acknowledges and accepts that he/she knows that Alamo may use his/her personal data according to Alamo needs that include statistical analysis, credit check and protection of Alamo property. If the Renter breaches the Rental Agreement clauses or state law upon legal bodies’ request Alamo has the right to share the available information publically and forward it to third parties.

Validity of the conditions

A) Alamo reserves the right at his sole decision to change or amend the Conditions unilaterally and without prior notice.
B) Any controversies between Alamo and the Renter will be settled between the parties during the negotiations. If a settlement cannot be reached, then the dispute will be passed to the Georgian Court according to the legislation of the Georgia.

One-Way Rentals

Alamo Rent-A-Car allows domestic one way rentals. Due to lack of physical locations the service should be requested at least 48 hours in advance. 
International One way rentals are available between Georgia and Armenia.

Driving Restrictions

Special authorization and permission is required for driving from Georgia to Armenia. Such permission can be obtained at Alamo Rent-A-Car offices. Extra Charge applies for driving to or in Armenia.

Delivery and Collection of the rental vehicle

A) Alamo provides vehicles to the Renters in operating and overall good conditions, clean and with a full tank, complete with all necessary documents.
B) The Renter agrees to return the Vehicle to Alamo according to the information stated in the Rental Agreement, in the same condition as before the rental taking into the consideration the natural tear and wear, returning the same documents and extra equipment.
C) The Renter will review the condition of the Vehicle when supplied by the supplier, and by signing, will agree that it matches to the description given in the Vehicle Delivery/Acceptance protocol which is inseparable part of the Rental Agreement. The Renter confirms that during the rental he/she will be responsible for the careful use according to the technical description of the Vehicle, documents and additional accessories and for safe driving.
D) The Renter must return the Vehicle to the Alamo Rent-A-Car location (or any other) designated in the Rental Agreement within the working hours of the location. If The Renter drops off the Vehicle out of the estimated working hours he/she must fulfill with the out-of-office-hours return terms for that location. If the Renter returns the Vehicle within out of office hours time framework he/she remains fully responsible for the Vehicle until Alamo personnel takes possession of it by signing on the Delivery/Acceptance Protocol.
E) If the Renter does not return the Vehicle to the mentioned return location/place at the time stated in the Rental Agreement, Alamo will charge an additional day's charges to the rental amount after one hour of delay. If the Renter fails to return the Vehilce to the agreed point, which is not Alamo Rent-A-Car downtown location, or if it is out of hours’ time, he/she will be fully responsible for the delivery or out-of-hours charges. 
F) It is preferable to return the vehicle in a clean condition as the rental agents can recognize any new damages. If the vehicle is returned with less tank than fixed in the Rental Agreement at the moment of pick up the Renter is fully responsible for the petrol charges. Fuel not used by the time of the Vehicle's return will not be refunded. Please note that this is not a sale of fuel.
